Survivor Series Preview: Divas Champion Charlotte vs Paige
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

Charlotte’s Divas Championship reign will be put to the ultimate litmus test at Survivor Series, when she takes on Paige in a match where both women will look to stake their claim as not only champion, but also “queen-pin” of the Divas Revolution.

The champion and challenger had developed a strong kinship over the summer as members of Team PCB, along with Becky Lynch; however, their bond began to strain as Charlotte developed more success within the Divas division, ultimately dethroning Nikki Bella and snapping her record reign to win her first Divas Championship.

Following a several-week, on-again/off-again smear campaign by Paige against Charlotte, The Anti-Diva finally dismembered PCB for good when she viciously attacked her former “besties” on Raw. The message was clear: Her house was big enough for only one alpha-female.

The Diva of Tomorrow followed up her PCB blindside with a major victory the next week over Becky Lynch, Brie Bella and Sasha Banks in a No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match on Raw to set the stage for a mega-collision with Charlotte at Survivor Series.

What will happen when the only two women in history to have held both the NXT Women’s and Divas Championships square off? Can the “Genetically Superior” champion contain Paige’s hard-hitting offense to retain her championship and pick up her biggest victory to date? Or will the original gangster of the Divas Revolution protect her house and defeat the second-generation star to once again rule the heap as Divas Champion?

Find out at Survivor Series, live on WWE Network, Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 ET/5 PT.

SummerSlam Preview: Team Bella vs Team B.A.D. vs PCB
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

At SummerSlam the Divas Revolution will reach new heights when all three factions spearheading the cause — Team Bella, PCB and Team B.A.D. — collide in a Triple Threat Team Elimination Match.

The game transformed forever on the July 13 edition of Raw when Stephanie McMahon famously got in the face of Team Bella and emphatically declared that it was time for change in the Divas division. That catalyst for change came in the way of NXT cornerstones Charlotte, Becky Lynch and NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks simultaneously debuting on WWE’s flagship show.

The three trailblazers wasted no time making an impact, with Charlotte & Becky aligning with Paige, and Sasha joining forces with Naomi & Tamina to form the new factions of PCB and Team B.A.D. As the WWE Universe went berserk in approval, the newly formed units swiftly took out the boastful Team Bella. The climate change was tangible; a revolution had truly begun.

Since then, the three factions have clashed in various matches on both Raw and SmackDown, often multiple times a night. All three sides have obtained victories, but none has been able to establish itself as the sole dominant entity in this new Divas dynasty.

Now, with the eyes of the WWE Universe firmly on them, these three stables will compete at SummerSlam to see who can lay claim to the distinction of deities of the Divas Revolution. Can Team Bella prove themselves as the torchbearers of the division by prevailing under the bright Brooklyn lights? Or can either PCB or Team B.A.D. leave the Bella Empire in ruins by picking up a monumental victory?

To watch these Divas not only take chances, but also center stage, watch SummerSlam, live on the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Aug. 23, at a special start time of 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT!

Money in the Bank Preview: Divas Champion Nikki Bella vs Paige
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

In light of the controversial conclusion of last week’s Divas Championship Match, Nikki Bella will defend her title against Paige this Sunday at Money in the Bank. The Diva of Tomorrow claims that Nikki and her sister Brie are holding the entire Divas division back. Whether she can dethrone the established order, however, remains to be seen.

The Bellas went into their bag of tricks on the June 1 edition of Monday Night Raw, when Nikki successfully defended her title against Paige utilizing Twin Magic against the Anti-Diva. In response, the disgruntled challenger voiced her distain for the twin siblings’ actions on SmackDown, accusing them of hogging the spotlight for themselves since coming to WWE – in contrast to the current #givedivasachance initiative.

Paige is no stranger to The Bellas’ antics. At WWE Elimination Chamber, she (and Naomi) fell short against Nikki in a Divas Championship Triple Threat Match. Before that, she and AJ Lee bested The Bellas at WrestleMania 31.

Despite being able to hold onto the butterfly-emblazoned championship, Nikki can’t afford to take Paige lightly. In her relatively short time in WWE, The former two-time Divas Champion has proven she is more than capable of conquering any opposition thrown her way. She has promised to change the Divas division, and she has the potential to do just that. That said, Nikki won’t make it easy on her.

The Bella Twins have described themselves as the Diva standard bearers of WWE and for good reason. Multiple-time Slammy Award winners, Divas Title holders and stars of E!’s award-nominated “Total Divas,” it’s arguable that Nikki and Brie have made their mark in WWE history unlike any women before them. Since winning her second Divas Title at Survivor Series 2014, Nikki has taken on all challengers (by hook or crook). Like her or love her, there is no arguing that the star of “Total Divas” has scratched, clawed and fought to earn her place on the mountain top.

Will Paige overcome Nikki at WWE Money in the Bank? Find out live this Sunday at 8 p.m./5 p.m. PT on the award-winning WWE Network.

Elimination Chamber Preview: Nikki vs Paige vs Naomi (Triple Thr...
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella will face one of her toughest challenges at Elimination Chamber, when she defends against Paige and Naomi in a Triple Threat Match. However, there is plenty of bad blood between the two challengers that may need to be settled before they turn their attention toward the champion.

The differences between Paige and Naomi go back over a month, to when Raw was in Paige’s homeland of England. The raven-haired Diva was feeling like she was on top of the world, having just won a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal by eliminating Naomi. As she addressed the adoring British crowd, Naomi viciously attacked her, putting her out of action.

Since that attack, Naomi has unveiled a brash new attitude, going on to take Paige’s spot as No. 1 Contender. She also added some muscle in her corner, in the form of Tamina. Though she hasn’t succeeded in dethroning Nikki, Naomi has had the Divas Champion’s number in non-title action, pinning her twice in recent weeks, including a big win in a tag team bout at WWE Payback.

That victory earned Naomi another opportunity at Nikki’s title on Raw the next night. But with Nikki in position to hit the Rack Attack, Tamina leapt into the ring and delivered a staggering superkick, ending the bout in a disqualification. Naomi & Tamina began to gang up on the champion, until Paige made her long-awaited return. The Diva of Tomorrow cleared house, seemingly standing side-by-side with Nikki, until she dropped the Divas Champion with the Ram-Paige.

After a heated war of words on SmackDown, Paige found herself on the receiving end of a 2-on-1 attack at the hands of Naomi and her bodyguard. Repaying the favor from Monday, Nikki rushed to ringside and evened the odds, taking out Tamina. However, before Paige could finish off Naomi, the Divas Champion attacked her raven-haired rival, connecting with the Rack Attack and standing tall over all three Divas with her title held high. The Bella Twin made it clear that she won’t be a pushover when the three finally square off.

Will Nikki continue her dominant reign as Divas Champion, or will the odds play out in favor of a new champion? Find out at Elimination Chamber on Sunday, May 31, at 8 ET/5 PT. For members of the WWE Universe watching in the United States, the only way to watch Elimination Chamber is on WWE Network!

Extreme Rules Preview: Divas Champion Nikki Bella vs Paige
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella will face a familiar foe at Extreme Rules, when she steps into championship action against two-time former champion Paige.

Paige became the top challenger to the butterfly-emblazoned title on the April 13 Raw after winning a No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal in London, mere hours away from Paige’s birthplace of Norwich, England. Souring the gigantic hometown win, however, was the reaction of Naomi, whom Paige ousted from the Battle Royal to claim victory. Apparently believing herself to be a more suitable No. 1 contender, Naomi — who holds two pinfall wins over Nikki Bella — shockingly thrashed Paige after the match, repeatedly tossing The Diva of Tomorrow into the ring barricade.

The ruthless attack not only cast a shadow over Paige’s accomplishment, but also throws into question whether the No. 1 contender will be in any condition to compete April 26 at Extreme Rules.

If Paige is cleared to go, she will have the opportunity to settle her longstanding beef with Divas Champion Nikki, who, along with sister Brie, has ridiculed Paige for months. Additionally, Paige will have the chance to make history, as a title win against at Extreme Rules would make her a three-time Divas Champion — only the third in WWE history.

Watch two of WWE’s fiercest fighters lock horns with the Divas division’s top accolade on the line when Extreme Rules airs live on WWE Network Sunday, April 26.

Wrestlemania 31 Preview: AJ Lee & Paige vs The Bella Twins
Published by: |   (0) Comments      Read MORE      Filed Under: Preview

The voice of the Divas division could change radically at WrestleMania 31, when the popular, albeit unlikely, team of AJ Lee & Paige take aim at the top, battling Brie Bella and her fearless twin sister, Divas Champion Nikki Bella.

The match was made official for The Show of Shows on March 9, one week after AJ made her unannounced return from injury to rescue Paige from a two-on-one beatdown at the hands of Nikki & Brie. Paige had appeared to be on the verge of winning the Divas Title from the “fearless” champion until Brie ran interference, intentionally getting her sister disqualified while ensuring the title stayed in the Bellas’ possession.

Despite many previous altercations, “frenemies” AJ and Paige — who fought tooth and nail over the butterfly-emblazoned title in 2014 — look to be united by their common foes, Nikki & Brie, and the union could not be better timed for The Diva of Tomorrow.

The devilish twins spent weeks bullying Paige and using underhanded tactics to turn back her challenges for the title. The Divas division veterans also got the better of the WWE rookie as she struggled to find a tag team partner to support her. When it looked like Paige had no one left to turn to, the unlikeliest ally of all, AJ, reared her head and sent a vicious message to the always-boastful Bellas.

As the #GiveDivasAChance movement continues picking up steam, will AJ & Paige be successful in their effort to supplant the dangerous and sly Bella Twins, or will Nikki & Brie just further demonstrate why they are WWE’s most dominant Divas? Perhaps more importantly: Will the WWE Universe witness a paradigm shift in the Divas division at The Showcase of the Immortals?

Watch for yourself when WrestleMania 31 airs live on Sunday, March 29, on WWE Network!
